Communications Team

JENNIFER PHAN

Level III BScN McMaster Site

COMMUNICATIONS CHAIRPERSON 2020 – 2021

______________________________________

Why did you decide to join MUNSS?

I joined MUNSS because I wanted to help improve the social impact of MUNSS in terms of advertising for events and social media presence. This is my first year on MUNSS, and I’m excited to be involved this year!

What are some goals this year regarding your MUNSS role (i.e. plans, events, changes you want to make, etc.)?

One of my goals is to make sure that there is high engagement in events through advertising on all the social media platforms

What advice do you have for your fellow nursing students?

Don’t try to compete with your peers, we’re all in this together. Go at your own pace, take breaks when you need it, and don’t be afraid to ask for help. Take care of yourselves!

ANDY CHEA

Level II BScN Conestoga Site

MULTIMEDIA CREATIVE DIRECTOR CONESTOGA SITE 2020 – 2021

______________________________________

Why did you decide to join MUNSS?

I’ve always been super big into involvement with my community for as long as I remember. The moment I decided what I wanted my career to be, I knew I had to be involved in some way to help build and develop a supportive community with my fellow students! I’ve been with MUNSS for over three years and a three-time welcome week rep! This program is my heart and soul and I believe we foster an extremely welcoming community and family!

What are some goals this year regarding your MUNSS role (i.e. plans, events, changes you want to make, etc.)?

With my role I hope we are able to keep up with the social media, engage our peers as often as we can and to ensure that myself and Jacqueline capture the memories that we will reflect on for the rest of our educational careers

What advice do you have for your fellow nursing students?

We’re all students of life, we make mistakes and that’s all ok! We need to learn more, appreciate more, and adapt. I’ve been held back in this program and although it is difficult for the time-being, it translates to mental wealth long-term.
